Mathematics Resource Center
Mathematics is a pillar of modern scientific advancement, yet fear of Math is common among young and adult learners. To make Mathematics fun and to encourage students to learn Mathematical skills, Sukkur IBA University has established the “Mathematics Resource Center” (MRC). The aim of this center is to assist students in learning and understanding Mathematical concepts through tutoring, technological aids and Mathematics games. The center annually organizes National Mathematics Olympiad to promote Maths learning among students all over Pakistan.
English Writing Center
Writing is an important part of a language and a key to academic success. However, due to poor basic education system, majority of students hailing from rural areas are not able to write creatively and effectively. The Writing Center is addressing this challenge. Qualified and experienced faculty is available to mentor, guide and supervise students’ writing skills by using critical thinking and collaborative learning strategies. At this Center, writing is seen as a problem-solver in which tutors offer strategies and suggestions that enable the writers to effectively accomplish their work as writers.
‘Knowledge Center’ at Sukkur IBA University is a world class facility for students, researchers, and academicians with State-of-the-art technology. Sukkur IBA University houses a collection of more than 46,000 print books and more than 200,000 electronic books accessible across the campus through various databases. The library subscribes to more than 30 print and more than 4400 electronic journals. The access to a number of journals and electronic books has also been made possible through direct access to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Digital Library.
Sukkur IBA University has state of the art computer labs to help students learning the usability of computers. Not only students learning ICT skills in these labs but also prepare class reports and presentations. Sukkur IBA University is a wifi enabled campus and students can access internet via their smartphones and laptops from anywhere in the university
